"LET'S PLAY BALL"

STL mood board.png

During 2020, countless sporting events were cancelled. All levels of play were affected from high school sports to college sports to professional sports. Thousands of athletes did not get a season. Spring athletes were halted from play after months of pre-season work. Professional athletes did not get to play in their first or final season. Not to mention professional drafts took place on FaceTime calls and video chat due to social distancing requirements that in-person events could not adhere to.

As far as the Major League Baseball organization, there was not an in-person event held for the draft of athletes. This year the organization took a major turn - the amount of young men drafted was significantly less than the amount of men picked in the past. Historically, over a thousand male athletes get drafted after spending years working toward the biggest event in their lives. However, this year the amount of rounds as well as amount of men drafted were cut significantly in order to save the organization money.Comparing numbers, last year 1,127 men were assigned to teams; whereas, this year, only 160 men were selected.

"Long over long" pairing between tops and bottoms were upon some of the most sought after pairings In this case, I wore an oversized black and white baseball jersey with a pair of long black bike shorts. Regarding shoes, "winter whites" were popular in shoes trends which helped in my decision to pair my outfit with a Nike Air Force 1. Poses for the shoot were strategically inspired by the positions of infield and outfield players. However, their is no ball, no team and no game to further represent that when sports are not played the athletes are only posing,
